1, 2, 3 Eyes on Me!
No, not really...
But, eyes on us!
A few of us blogging buddies were chatting the other day and we decided it would be fun to run a 3-way giveaway!
It's much more fun than 3-way calling and way luckier than a 3-leaf clover...So, there ya go!
We've each picked one of our top 3 super units and we're offering all 3 to you!
We're picking 3 winners to each win these 3 units on the 3rd school day of the week...AKA Wednesday. ;)
from Traci over at.....
From Christy & Tammy over at...
And, From me....
Be sure to check back on Wednesday for a 3-way call announcement!
Good luck!
Good luck!
Real quick - I just wanted to let you know that I FINALLY finished the March MATH Common Core centers too...which also means the BUNDLE is up too!

I use 'Hands on top...Everybody stop' when we've been using manipulatives so I stand a bit of a chance when talking!
Whole Brain Teaching...Class/Yes
I just raise my hand and patiently wait for others to take notice and follow suit......works some of the time....LOl rwrench64@yahoo.com
Read a story :)
I say, "macaroni and cheese" and they say, "everybody freeze"
Hocus Pocus, Everybody Focus!
Gotta love that little bell! Nothing fancy but it works!
I clap a pattern and the students clap back :)
If you can hear me now. Clap once , if you can hear me now, clap twice. Usually only takes two.
123 eyes on me!
I say macaroni and they say cheese and then they freeze. We also have a magic mute button.
I do a special little clap and they stop and echo! This is awesome!! I even braved it late last night and opened up a facebook account as a second grade teacher! I love your posts and products so much. Thank you!!
I use a whistle, vey softly and pretend the wind has gone out of me! They laugh but there is immediate silence.

I usually use class/yes but if they aren't listening I just sit there with out saying a word. I think it kinda scares them, cuz they get really quiet!
I use 123 eyes on me ( but I whisper)...I use CLASS! CLASS! (WBT) and we count from 10 -100 by tens OR count by 5's to 100...gets them in their seats FAST! Transitions are smooth & quick! wendy 1stgradefireworks@gmail.com 1stgradefireworks
Whole Brain Teaching. Class/Yes variations. For the month of February we've been using quotes from Conversations Hearts. EX: Class Dear/Yes Dear. The all time favorite is hug me class/hug me yes. =)
I use clap and echo or sing part of a song they know and once they realize I'm getting their attention then they continue the song with me :)
I bought these really pretty sounding chimes that work as a wonderful way to bring their attention back. It's a gentle sound, so it's kind of startling how effective it is in grabbing their attention in a loud room. I also use the Whole Brain Class?/Yes! call and responds. My students' favorite this year seems to be doing the McDonald's "ba,da,ba,ba,da..." and they respond by singing, "I'm lovin' it!" We also use singing in line before entering the hallway or the Magic Number game. (What? my class is CHATTY!) ;)
clap three times.
Teacher says: "Voices"
Students say: "Off!"

A little twist on 1,2,3 eyes on me can be 1,2,3, eyes on me with refrain from students being 1, 2 eyes on you.
Thanks for offering your give-away on these 3 great sets of learning activities.
I use many different techniques - one is to turn off the lights. :o)

I say, "Hey, hey, hey listen up, listen up" and they repeat back. Or "Macaroni and Cheese" then they say "Everybody freeze" and FREEZE or...real quietly I sing, "stop, look, and listen" and they put their hands on their shoulders and sing back, "I am." I like to keep it varied!!
Our school has a school-wide attention signal. It's slowly counting to 3 with the corresponding finger in the air. One means stop what you're doing. Two means look at your teacher. Three means no talking. Once the kids get what all 3 mean, it is very effective.
One, two, three eyes on me- the Kiddos respond: one, two, three eyes on you! I also use random number count downs (I put up a number of fingers in any order and the students have to pay attention and call out the number held up!)
I use WBT! My fav is oh darling class and they respond oh darling yes.
I use several, including ringing a bell or turning off the lights.
Give me five!
Clapping a pattern & they repeat it.

I say, "Class, class", and the students reply with, "class, class". I do it varying tones and styles to get their attention.
We pick a "magic word" (usually a vocabulary word from science) during morning meeting. When I say the magic word "it works like magic" and everyone stops what they are doing, freezes and listens for the next direction.
So many great ideas. Thanks for sharing
I usually clap a pattern
